Not to be confused with the King Kong slot game provided by Cryptologic, the new ‘Kong, 8th Wonder of the World’ slot game, (to give it its’ full title), has been released by the Playtech software provider, and is based on the 2005 Peter Jackson movie. As you would expect from Playtech, the graphics are amazing, and include lots of film clips, and images of the actors, in a 5 reel, 20 payline game that gives you lots of great features. There are so many great features with Kong, that it’s difficult to know where to start, but we will start with the 2 different playing modes, Jungle, and City. You can start off the game in either mode, and once you finish a bonus game, it switches to the other mode. In the Jungle mode, you have a free spins bonus round, triggered when you get 3 or more ‘Kong’ symbols on the reels. The highlight of the Jungle mode is the Skull Island bonus game. Get 3 or more Bonus symbols to start this game, where you are shown a picture of the island, covered with yellow dots, and have to click on the dots to find various creatures. Find Kong to win 30x your bet amount, find 3 T-Rex to win 20x your bet, 3 Velocoraptors wins you 15x your bet, and 3 Brontosaurus’ gets you 10x your bet. Once you have won a prize, you go to the City mode. 
Here, the bonus games start with a free spins round. Get 3 Bonus symbols, to win 3 free spins, and during these spins, certain reels become stacked Wild reels, meaning that all positions on the reels can help to make up winning combinations. Get 3 Kong symbols to start the City Tower bonus game, (which for some reason avoids mentioning the Empire State Building.) Kong has climbed the City Tower, and airplanes are attacking him. You have 3 goes at clicking on an airplane to reveal a hidden prize amount, and once this game has finished, you go back to Jungle mode.
Fans of the movie will love this game, it’s fast, exciting, has plenty of film clips and music, and frequent bonus rounds. There is no huge jackpot, the maximum prize being 3,000 coins, or £15,000, for getting 5 Kong Wild symbols, but there are lots of smaller payouts to keep you happy.
